WSC Ambassadors

The DSM West Side Chamber Ambassadors are the welcoming and connecting arm of the Chamber. They function as a committee under the authority of the Board of Directors and direction of the Chamber Staff. These individuals are passionate about the Chamber and aim to help new members acclimate to the chamber, get connected, and make sure they get as much value as possible. If you like to meet new people and develop stronger business connections in our Chamber and on the West Side, this is a great group to join.

Ambassadors Primary Tasks:
Help new members connect and take full advantage of their Chamber membership.
Attend Chamber events like the Wake Up West Side, Lunch and Learns, ribbon cuttings, open houses and special events.
Attend a monthly Ambassador lunch/breakfast to stay updated on Chamber news, network with fellow Ambassadors, address Chamber business and occasionally visit Chamber businesses.
Participate in contacting new and potential Chamber members.
Strengthen the Board of Directors and the Chamber Staff by helping the Chamber put its best foot forward and solicit any information that will help the Chamber continue to improve and grow.

Before becoming an Ambassador, the following guidelines must be considered:

Ambassadors understand that their primary role is to represent the DSM West Side Chamber.
They agree that they will not attempt to solicit or sell any goods/services during initial conversations with any Chamber member. If an inquiry is made by the Chamber member about the Ambassador’s line of work, that is great!
If an Ambassador is a member of another Chamber, business association, or networking group, the Ambassador is discouraged from promoting those groups
in initial conversations.
Ambassadors understand their role is not one of sales, but rather to build relationships, promote the DSM West Side Chamber, and add value to everyone’s Chamber membership.
